International Trade

Location Marketing works with trade organisations, or directly with companies, to help them develop foreign market opportunities.  Many non-European companies look keenly on European countries as key overseas markets and many European companies also look at their European neighbours in the same vain. Whilst the economic interest of Europe is clear, certain linguistic and cultural differences can sometimes present themselves as barriers to those wishing to target these varied and individual markets.

Location Marketing helps overcome these barriers by acting as a bridge and working within the European markets to investigate sales and distribution possibilities.

We perform research and market analysis for clients and complete a report on trade opportunities within a selected region of Europe. We contact potential distributors and present your product to determine interest and opportunities.

Office of Economic Development
and International Trade – Colorado, USA

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) has been working with Location Marketing for a number of years in order to deliver their export support programme in key European markets such as the UK, France and Germany. During this time we have undertaken market studies, ascertained distribution networks and found suitable partners for a number of companies across sectors ranging from aerospace to winter sports.

Rocky Mountain Underground (RMU) is based in Breckenridge, Colorado and manufactures skis and outdoor clothing

Having credible resources on the ground who understand the culture and economy of a foreign country proved to be invaluable for us. As we evaluated the return on investment versus the cost of establishing our business in international markets, working with Louise and her team proved to be a no brainer.

We worked with Location Marketing to identify potential French distributors and buyers. Louise and the team did this in the run up to the ISPO trade show in Munich to allow for face-to-face meetings at our stand.

We had already been at the show twice before, but the work undertaken for us allowed us to access some of the best leads we have ever had, and notably with 3 of the largest potential buyers in France. In fact this was one of the best years we have experienced at the show in general and I definitely feel that the traffic generated by the meetings organised at our stand was also effective in creating a successful brand image.

Avior Control Technologies Inc is a Colorado-based company specialised in customised motor and motion control components for use in the aerospace, down-hole and high-reliability industries.

Thanks to Location Marketing’s support, we were able to identify a number of potential manufacturing representatives in the UK, which we then went to meet and interviewed several qualified candidates. The decision was difficult as we were presented highly-qualified candidates. Avior selected the best representative firm and have since signed an agreement with them. We are actively pursuing the UK market with our new agent’s help.

Avior is now continuing to identify other opportunities to expand our marketing coverage in other European countries with Location Marketing support. The professionalism and energy of Location Marketing is outstanding
